Sous Chef - Stunning Hotel in Stunning Location

Award Winning Hotel near to the Poole and Swanage area, is now looking for a passionate & creative Sous Chef who wants to produce the best simple modern British Classics with a twist for the Restaurant only due to the property does not cater for Banqueting/Weddings.

Using produce that is grown in its own garden and nursery and livestock such as Pigs, Sheep, Chickens, Quail and bees, they also locally source other produce from the surrounding area.

As Sous Chef, you will need to be highly organised and reliable as you will be working with a menu that is influenced by the kitchen’s garden and the surrounding areas and can change by the minute due to what crops/produce are available.

To be successful you will need an abundance of Passion and drive, as this is the key to their success, so we will want you to be enthusiastic about our food, our animals, the kitchen garden, foraging, and everything you do!

As Sous Chef, you will also be responsible to manage in the Head Chefs abscence and to also manage and train all Chef’s working in the team with you, prepare and cook dishes, bring fresh ideas and also maintain high standards in your role.

This Hotel is very unique in how it operates and is passionate in making sure that you will also get to visit local suppliers, taste new ingredients and products also have weekly kitchen garden tours so you can see what produce will be ready to use.

  • Starting Salary £24,000 - £26,000
