AA offers new staff training scheme

The AA has announced a new training scheme aimed at workers in hotels, guesthouses and bed and breakfasts.

The course is in partnership with the People 1st Training Company and will see WorldHost customer service training programmes made available to AA establishments and their workers in hospitality jobs.

The guidance will then be offered to AA Hotel Services members who feel that customer service is a useful way to improve their AA rating.

Simon Numphud, AA hotel services manager, said: “In a difficult economic climate, businesses are having to compete even harder for customers’ attention and outstanding service can really set you apart. WorldHost customer service training is a proven solution and we are looking forward to offering its services to our members.”

The WorldHost courses were originally developed in Canada and were recently used to train thousands of volunteers at last year’s Olympic and Paralympic Games.
