Four Seasons announces CEO job changes

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced that Kathleen Taylor will be stepping down from her job as the company’s chief executive officer.

The announcement comes just three years after Ms Taylor assumed the role from the company’s founder, Isadore Sharp. Prior to this, Ms Taylor had occupied many jobs within the hospitality and catering industry, including spending 25 years at Four Seasons.

Mr Sharp, who will continue as chairman and shareholder, stated: "I am deeply grateful to Katie for her nearly 25 years of outstanding service and wish her well in the next phase of her career.

"Katie has been a trusted colleague and fundamental to building Four Seasons into the admired and successful company it is today. She leaves us with a strong foundation for the future and we remain firmly committed to leadership in luxury hospitality and accelerating our goals for long-term growth. Katie embodied Four Seasons values in all that she has done.”

Ms Taylor’s departure follows her award-winning time at the company where she was inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame and became the first woman to ever receive the Corporate Hotelier of the World award.

The company announced that is yet to find a successor, but is confident that the vacancy will be filled shortly.
